DON'T SWEAT IT
As far as I know, working out and getting fit is that status quo that sits on everyone's new year's resolution and I am no exception. While working out seem like a blatant chore to so many of us, there are little ways I find that keeps me motivated! Growing up as a dancer, I've spent most of my childhood twirling around in ballet tights and I even remember the first time ever when my dad taught me how to skate. So, keeping fit and staying active has always felt a little like second nature for me. But surely, we indulge in those couch potato or rather, desktop potato moments one too often and we can often forget to get up and sneak a work out in amidst our busy schedule so here are a few tips that has been really helpful for me!
1. GET YOURSELF DRESSED IN A CUTE WORKOUT OUTFIT
There is nothing like being dressed up and feeling like your best boujee self and the same applies for when you're working out! When you're dressed in that snatched workout gears, it can really boost your morale to work that body and trust me! It really makes a world of a difference. I mean, we all want to have that kickass booty aye? I found my dream all-white Alo Yoga workout gear on OMgoing and I've been obsessed ever since! 2. LOOK GOOD, FEEL GOOD
You see, when you look good you feel good. Everything comes a full circle and I don't think I've ever been as happy with my own body as I do now (there's still room for improvements, of course!). When you work out, you instantaneously feel less sluggish and that sets you in for a lifted spirit to start/end your day! After all, don't we girls wish we've got abs to flex too?
3. SET A WEEKLY GOAL AND STICK WITH IT
There are more faults to skipping a workout than actually knocking than off your to-do-list! Working out has everything to do with endorphins and all that happy things so whenever I am stressed, I go for a run and I sincerely, feel better. So, set a goal! You can start as small as working out at home to blogilates for a day in a week and once you start noticing the positive difference it makes, it'll always bum you out not being able to work out. No one regrets working out, ever!
4. NOTHING HAPPENS OVERNIGHT AND IT'S ALL IN THE LONG RUN
Ever looked at VS models and wonder how do they look so divine? Well, truth be told. They work for it. And that definitely did not happen overnight! Everything comes as a result of handwork and after watching videos on their workout routines, I can safely say that they really worked their ass off. So remember, if you put your mind and effort to working out and treating your body right, all the results will come in time!
