Moonlite Kitchen & Bar is the postcard from Bali on the most mesmerising sunset I have in my head as we spend that quiet moment before the flight takes off back home imagining that one collective oasis. Situated right by Seminyak Beach, on the rooftop of the one and only Anantara Seminyak Resort is Moonlite Kitchen & Bar. Condé Nast Traveler Top 10 Best Rooftop Bars in the World has given a place to Moonlite and there is no doubt why. We are not only serving insane architectural vision accompanied by the sunset of a lifetime but of a menu that I'd never forget.

Jerald and I don't typically find ourselves in restaurants and we are usually by the road side slurping away on $1 Bakso and Nasi Goreng and you can imagine our excitement when Moonlite reached out and gifted us the best seat for sunset in Seminyak and a gastronomic experience! (Considering the fact that I met with a motorbike accident hours before our reservation, I knew to lug my bleeding mess of a knee to this luxurious dining spot with no second thoughts and boy was that the best decision I've made.) If I were to be completely honest, I wish I could rewind this experience without the deep gash on my knees and indulge in the picturesque view and the most ridiculously amazing Baileys cocktail. But it was therapeutic, in every way. Just being present in the moment and catching Bali's remarkable sunset was the first time in that day I find myself feeling, relieved or relaxed even. The staff were incredibly kind and gave us recommendations on the hospitals to visit and even offered us Aloe Vera for my injury, it was the sweetest thing. Every single dish that we tried, we loved! I loved the soft shell crab, it was crispy on the outside and everything perfect on the inside. Topped with the salad, sedap! And the Barramundi and Satay were marinated to the finest of taste. It was neither too savoury or bland, just the perfect blend. The smoked and grilled wings were rich in taste and so heavenly tender I wish I could teleport them over, right now! Now that's way too much of drool-worthy descriptions and I am just bummed I didn't have time to end the course with desserts as we were rushing of to the hospital! But the next round, I am definitely smashing the white chocolate and calamansi souffle off my list.

Thank you so much Moonlite Kitchen & Bar and Anantara Seminyak for this culinary art of an experience! I am so grateful and I can't wait to be back again. C’est un délice!

PS/ Don't forget to make a reservation, xoxo!
