If you haven't heard of The Shibuya Crossing then well, you're staring right at it now. Rumoured to be the world's busiest, this intersection is a spectacle of giant video screens and flashing neon lights that truly reflected Tokyo's heartbeat. Plotting a photoshoot right at this junction came to J and myself as a feat. With people coming in all direction, we figured it was a good idea to simultaneously dash towards the middle of the crossing the moment the red man turns green. Turns out, it was a great plan! (Except the fact that we looked like almost mad kids running towards each other, which you'd have caught a glimpse of if you follow me on snapchat! With all that said, it was almost an evening of adrenaline rush which was memorable in every way.) What made the spitting moments of madness even greater was the fact that I'm donned in nearly the prettiest velvet mini from Her Pony The Label, which I am clearly obsessed with.
Reminiscent of the '90s, the slipdress trend is once again picking up speed since it was spotted down the runway last season. Throw it over a turtleneck top or simply wear it bare on it's own, there's no doubt that slip dresses are my current muse but this navy velvet piece takes the cake. Here's why: Upon receiving the parcel from Her Pony which got me squealing because it came in the cutest drawstring bag and yes the very moment I saw the dress that was handmade with love from down under had me dying a little inside. It was perfection. It's flattering, fits like a bomb and definitely made me feel like I'm on an all time high. I kid you not. I've been wearing it on repeat to events, girls night out and of course, on dates with J because anything that makes me feel that teeny bit sexy, sign me up.
