Here's the official start point of my Great Ocean Road road trip, Torquay. Surfing capital of Victoria, Torquay was also the birthplace of iconic brands like Ripcurl and Quicksilver. Although I'm not surprised that many people neglect taking a stop-over at Torquay but make a straight drive along the Great Ocean Road, it's definitely worth the visit. It's always a blessing to be able to stand in the grandeur of the sun, sea and sand. And honestly, in a town with incredibly amazing lobster delicacies, I really couldn't ask for more.

If there's anything I've learnt on this road trip, it would be -

Escape, and never look back.
